Attorney Travis Jordan said it’s important to stand up for good conservative policies and that prompted him to run for District 1 of the Bartow County School board. He introduced himself at an event in Cartersville Feb. 3.
Jordan states he wants to see parents have a primary voice in their children’s education and believes Georgia can do better in improving reading and math scores. He also said he would vote yes to extend the senior citizen school tax exemption.
The exemption is set to expire in 2028 and the school board would need his “yes” vote to extend it. Jordan said he would do that.
He also said his experience as an attorney would provide civil debate over hot button issues and help the board work through those with solutions.
Jordan will be at many more events to meet constitutes and hear their opinions.
