Rob Adkerson pitches his candidacy to GOP
Another candidate for the U.S. 11th Congressional District is stepping on the campaign trail. Rob Adkerson, current chief of staff for incumbent Rep. Barry Loudermilk, talked to the Bartow County GOP at their monthly meeting Tuesday night.
The 11st District covers Bartow, Gordon, Pickens Counties and part of Cherokee and Cobb Counties, including Marietta and Kennesaw.
Adkerson said he is the right choice for conservative consistency after Loudermilk announced he is not seeking re-election.
“I know how all this works. I know how to know how to keep the wheel turning,’ Adkerson said.
Adkerson said his years of work with Loudermilk ensures the values of Northwest Georgians will remain in a crucial time where margins in the House are thin.
Adkerson became Loudermilk’s chief of staff in 2014, after serving as his campaign manager for that election. In 2025, he also served as Loudermilk’s senior advisor and worked with Loudermilk on the House Judiciary Committee Select Investigation for remaining questions surrounding Jan. 6, 2021.
Before entering politics, Adkerson’s career was with Eagle Systems America LLC from 2007 until 2012. Adkerson’s campaign website is robadkerson.com.
