Those who love cars have plenty of options to see them around North Georgia beginning this weekend.
The Woodland Fine Arts Department is hosting Arts on The Rock at Woodland High School tomorrow April 27 beginning at 10 a.m. There will be live performances by the Woodland High band, games, food trucks, vendors, and a car show.
Adairsville residents are anticipating one of their big events on the square for May 4 with its BBQ & Blues Festival and Car Show. The event will be at Adairsville Church on the Square from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m. There will be food to buy and music along with the car show. Families are welcome.
Another area May 4th car event is the 2nd Annual Main Street Cruise-in for Special Olympics planned for May 4. This event is hosted by the Kennesaw Police Department and runs from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. It will be at 2958 North Main Street in Kennesaw. It will include classics, hot rods, and custom vehicles. Food trucks will be on hand for sales. Money raised from the show will benefit the Special Olympics. General admission is free.
One event that is becoming a local tradition is Ridz by the River Spring Car Show. This event, set on private farmland along Euharlee Road in Cartersville, will be May 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It is one of the largest car events around with thousands of cars, trucks, planes, RVs, and even boats to admire. Entry is free. Food trucks and other vendors will be there for sales.
One of Cartersville’s larger employers is planning a public event at Adairsville High School on May 18. The Toyo Tires Northwest Georgia Car Show will be from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Anyone can register to show off their ride at this show for $25.
Many more shows and cruise-ins are planned throughout the summer. One on the list for June is the Southeastern Hot Rod Show in Dalton planned for June 14-15. It will run from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on both days.
