No matter what your child’s interests are, there’s a camp for that in Cartersville, GA. Both Bartow County and Cartersville Parks and Recreation are offering all kinds of opportunities for kids to hone sports skills or learn something new. Tellus has education programs and churches are offering Vacation Bible School.

Bartow County
Bartow County is offering camps in disc golf, archery, magic, speed and agility, fishing, tennis, cheer, volleyball, basketball, soccer, football, and softball. The camps are held in June and July and all are $75 per child.
Additionally, the county has its summer day camp scheduled for eight weeks for children ages 5 to 13 years old. There is a different theme each week and campers are given breakfast, lunch, and snacks. The camp includes sports, art, and educational activities. The cost is $125 per child per week.

The City of Cartersville
The City of Cartersville is offering youth tennis camps for ages 3 through 6 in June and July. The cost is $60 a week. It also has several dates for beginner and intermediate tennis camps for ages 7-12 for $240 a week.

Tellus
The Tellus Science Museum has the Summer Quest called the Science of Light + Color. The program is for children ages 4 through 12 and lasts two hours. It includes lab work where kids use hands-on color-related activities and get a tour of the museum as well as museum entry for the rest of the day. The program requires a 15-student minimum to book. The price is $12 per student. The museum allows a group leader for every 10 students free entry.

Vacation Bible Schools
Four Points Church will have VBS from June 10-12 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with games, teaching, and fun things for rising kindergartners through 5th graders Dinner provided to participants.

Trinity United Methodist Church will have VBS June 24-28 from 9 a.m. until noon. The theme is Camp Firelight: A Summer Camp Adventure with God.

Cloverleaf First Baptist Church is setting the theme of The Great Jungle Journey for its VBS scheduled for June 9-14 from 6 p.m. until 8:45 p.m. It includes Bible classes and activities for children pre-K to teenager including games, food, and crafts.
