At midnight tonight Longshoremen plan to go on strike. Think this strike doesn’t affect you? Think again.
“The port strikes announced by the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) and the United States Maritime Alliance, Ltd. (USMX) at the U.S. East Coast and Gulf ports have not yet been confirmed. Negotiations on a new contract run until 30 September 2024. Rest assured, Hapag-Lloyd is closely monitoring the situation and will take measures wherever possible to minimize the impact on our customers and business.” According to a statement on their website.
Here’s an update from one of the Longshoremen on TikTok with his viewpoint. Ihttps://www.tiktok.com/t/ZTFAruUYk
Railroads have stopped moving some freight such as refrigerated and frozen products. According to insurancejournal.com, Mediterranean Shipping Company – “MSC said in its advisory. The Geneva-based company said that it will continue to accept requests for dry cargo services while reserving the right to “not accept new refrigerated bookings.”
Per an article on ajot.com, “The strike could hit 36 ports that handle about one-half of U.S. ocean imports. That could affect availability of a range of goods from bananas to clothing to cars shipped via container, while creating weeks-long backlogs at ports. It could also stoke shipping cost increases that may be passed on to voters already frustrated with housing and food inflation, according to logistics experts.”
Some have called on the Biden administration to use the Taft-Hartley Act but according to Fox Business and other sources, Biden does not plan to use this labor law and stated he “doesn’t like Taft-Hartley.”
Some speculate this could open the door to the recently agreed upon pact to transform global governance. As the Secretary-General has said, “we cannot create a future fit for our grandchildren with a system built by our grandparents.”
“Pact for the Future” that world leaders agreed on September 22, 2024 at the that states “The Pact covers a broad range of issues including peace and security, sustainable development, climate change, digital cooperation, human rights, gender, youth and future generations, and the transformation of global governance.”
Of course, it’s a presidential election year in the United States. Speculation is running rampant. Hurricane Helene has significantly impacted our nation and cut a path through several states that were pronounced red after the 2020 election and of course Georgia – but we won’t talk about that. I am at that stage in life where I learned it’s best to say nothing sometimes.

There is offline discussion about Hurricane Helene being made stronger by “seed clouds” or some other government interference. Who knows what to believe anymore? These probably fall in line with Chem Trails and maybe Voice to Skull Directed Energy. I struggle to know if I’m eating real food these days so I’m not going down those rabbit holes. I do know my okra didn’t do well this year even though I prayed over it so I fully blame the government for that. 🤣
Then today, GEMA (Georgia Emergency Management Agency) sent an alert out in Georgia stating this: “Public safety message: Georgia Emergency Management Agency Homeland Security Agency on behalf of the Environmental Protection Division local area emergency LOCAL AREA EMERGENCY due to ROCKDALE COUNTY BIOLAB FIRE. The EPA is MONITORING air quality for CHLORINE AND RELATED COMPOUNDS. Chemical levels are UNLIKELY TO CAUSE HARM TO MOST PEOPLE.”
I don’t know what’s going to happen in regard to any of this but I do know my hope is in God and the words written in this book. I pray the strike is halted and our nation doesn’t suffer. That’s always a possibility too, you know?

Am I going to fill my vehicle up with gas? Absolutely. Then again, I always do.
Am I going to freak out in fear? Absolutely not.
How do I experience peace in times of chaos and uncertainty? I pray and I stand on Psalm 91:1 “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty”
🙏❤️🇺🇸 My prayer for our nation.
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
