Kathryn Glenn, Registration Manager, Department of Registration & Elections in Fulton County, GA sent out this email to their “team.”
It reads: “Good Morning Team!
FYI – There are NO WATCHERS approved for ballot drop off! Do not let them in the building. If they want to observe from the parking lot, you can’t stop that but they are not allowed to sit in the building.
Have your security detail enforce it!!!
iLoveMyTeam!”
Voters across Georgia are asking why Kathryn Glenn doesn’t want poll watchers?
Earlier today a judge ruled the Fulton offices could accept absentee ballots today under 21-2-382(a) that allows counties to “establish additional registrar’s offices or places of registration for the purpose of receiving absentee ballots, provided that such site is a government building.”
This is after the Georgia GOP sued. This is an email sent yesterday, November 2 by Josh McKoon, Chairman of the Georgia GOP:
”FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
November 1, 2024
Fulton County Plans to Illegally Accept Ballots
Officials blatantly disregard state law by accepting ballots after the deadline .
(Atlanta)— It has come to our attention that Fulton County election officials are planning to open four election offices this weekend “to accommodate voters seeking to hand-return their absentee ballots.”
This is a blatant violation of Georgia law, subsection (d) of Code Section 21-2-385. O.C.G.A. § 21-2-382 which states “all drop boxes shall be closed when the advance voting period ends.” This must be stopped immediately and those willfully breaking Georgia law should be held accountable.
To make matters worse, the four election office locations are situated in areas of the county that will clearly favor Democrat candidates.
We are calling on state officials to take immediate action to stop this and maintain confidence in Georgia’s election integrity.
Fulton County’s patently illegal acts give us no choice but to immediately file suit.”
The election is this Tuesday, November 5. Polls are open 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Everyone in line by 7:00 PM will be allowed to vote.
